Replace anything in [brackets]. Keep the words "AI" or "artificial intelligence" in the final text — euphemisms like "smart assistant" don't tell anyone what they're dealing with.

Where to put it

Article 50(1) requires that people are informed they're interacting with an AI system, and the information must be clear and distinguishable and given at the latest at the first interaction. In practice, that means the disclosure goes wherever someone first meets the AI:

✔Chat widget — inside or directly above the chat window, visible before the first message is sent
✔Voice assistant or phone agent — spoken at the very start of the call
✔AI feature in your product — beside the input box or button that starts it
✔Email or messaging bot — in the first message it sends
